The 2016 Challenge, day 0: Getting to Oban (8)

Having settled in to the Youth Hostel, I set out once again (without my pack this time) in search of somewhere to eat. I found a really nice seafood restaurant right on the quay, where I ate some really nice seafood. Towards the end of the meal, people kept dashing across to the windows overlooking the bay to take photos of the sunset, and I can't say I really blamed them. I do not like interrupting a meal, however, so I finished eating first and paid for my meal, and THEN went OUTSIDE to take my photos of the sunset so that they wouldn't be marred by being taken through a window.

After taking a few sunset photos, I thought about going in search of the pub where the other Challengers were to be found. But you know what? Much as I should have liked their company, I found I couldn't really get all that enthusiastic about spending the evening drinking and then reeling back to the Youth Hostel in the dark. The prospect of returning to the Youth Hostel in the gloaming, and turning in for a really good night's sleep so that I was nice and refreshed when I set out for my first day's walking held far more attractions for me. And this is probably a good thing, because, you know that mental note I'd made of the name of the pub where all the Challengers were gathering? I couldn't for the life of me think where I'd put it ...
