The 2015 Challenge, day 13: Glenprosen to Foresterseat (4)

The Scott Memorial fountain (which was destroyed in a car accident a few years ago) was replaced by a new memorial in 2012, to mark the centenary of his death in Antarctica. I spent a while admiring the new memorial. It is beautifully designed and exceedingly well executed - a fitting memorial, I think, to one of Britain's greatest heroes (and, be it added, a hero whose heroism did not consist in either the killing of people or in facilitating the killing of people - a truly select group of individuals!)
