The 2013 Challenge, day 6: Tulloch to Loch Pattack (7)

I reached the highest point of the path and began my descent ... and then I saw the one thing I had been hoping not to see: a snow field lying across the path. I was not equipped with winter equipment. I was not carrying an ice axe. And I could not afford a glissade. So ... would there be a way to get safely past that snow field? Or was I going to have to turn back and go the other way in any event?

I decided to go and take a closer look.
